Laia: What's the matter, Monica?
Monica: I think we're lost. I can't find the lake on the map.
Laia: Oh, great!What are you going to do?
Monica: Why don't we find a taxi?
Laia: I'm not sure about that.

Laia: Hi, Monica. How was your trip?

monica: Great, thanks. I travelled to Itali and then I go to Venice to visit my parents.

Laia: Really?What was Itali like?

Monica: It was cool. The monuments were amazing 

Laia: Only the monuments?

Monica : No, there were a lot of things to do.

My favourite place was Saint's Marco square.

Laia: Well, it's a good to see you again.

Monica: Yes, it's good to be back

Laia: Hi, Monica. did you have a good weekend?

Monica: It was OK. I  bought a new laptop. I used it all weekend.

Laia: You used a laptop all weekend?

Monica: Yeah. What about you? What did you do?

Laia: We went to Barcelona.

Monica: That's cool.  Was it good?

Laia: Yeah. Why don't you come with us next time?

Monica: OK. Why not?

Monica: No. Sorry, Jake, I can't. I've got a geography exame tomorrow.

Laia: Some of us are meeting at the zoo if you want to come.

Monica: Hi, Laia. How are you?

Monica: I'm at the Brighton aquarium.

Monica: Oh, there are some seals here. They're really cool.

Laia: Are you having a good time?

Monica: Yeah, it's really interesting.

Monica: I'm  in a rock band. We've got band practice now.

Laia: Really? How often do you practise?

Monica: We practise every Monday, and in August we participate in the Brighton Carnival.

Laia: A carnival? Cool! What do you do in it?

Monica: Well, we dance, play,k sing, and wear costumes. It's fun!

Laia: I love sing. What about you , Marta?
Do you like carnivals?

Marta: I don't mind watching them, but I hate dancing.

Laia: I don't understand this. How do you say 'play' in Spanish?

Monica: I think it's 'jugar'.

Laia: Sorry, can you say that again?

Monica: J-U-G-A-R.

Monica: Hello. Can I help you?

Laia: Yes, i want to visit Banyoles. How far is it from here?

Monica:  Banyoles's about ten minutes from here by car.

Laia: OK. How much is a return ticket?

Monica: A return ticket is three pounds.

Laia: And is there a bus or a coach to Banyoles?

Monica: Yes, there are coaches from the bus station . They're cheaper than the bus. The timetables are here.
